Key Features of the 2026 Subaru Forester Wilderness
Performance
When you're looking for a new SUV, you want a car that doesn't waste time accelerating, but also one that you can rely on in adverse conditions. Features like the 2.5‑L naturally aspirated BOXER 4‑cyl engine particularly stand out, and Subaru engineering allows for an impressive 180 horsepower. Underneath, Subaru has also done some work on the suspension to ensure easy going even on rougher roads. Don’t forget about these additional performance specs:
- Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive
- Increased 9.3 Inches of Ground Clearance with Front Underbody Protection
- Enhanced Dual-Function X-MODE®
Technology
The SUV segment is smarter than ever before, and the Forester Wilderness just might be the head of its class. With features like these, the Forester Wilderness makes the road ahead a much safer place. The Subaru isn't limited to the above technology features, though. Here are a few more:
- Blind-Spot Detection with Lane Change Assist and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert
- Tire Pressure Monitoring System
- Automatic Pre-Collision Braking
Design
A great SUV makes a strong impression when you first see it, and that carries through to the first time you see inside it. Sitting 5 is a struggle for some automakers, but not the designers of the Forester Wilderness. After you decide how to arrange the interior, you can choose the trim and personalization options that suit you best. The Forester Wilderness also offers the following:
- Panoramic power moonroof
- Front View Monitor
- Subaru 11.6-inch Multimedia Plus System
