"Believe what you hear on the Television or what your husband tells you about cars not starting sometimes when it is frigid outside.  January 20, 2024, was one of those frigid days, and there was a warning to be outside only if absolutely necessary.  However, on that day, I ran errands as usual, and low and behold, my car wouldn't start.   Of course, I didn't assume the worst; I was near a repair shop, and in the worst-case scenario, I could use my roadside service if all else failed.       

In summary, I got someone from the nearby repair shop to look at the car.  The mechanic suggested that I take the vehicle to Subaru. I called roadside assistance around 11:15 a.m. but was told I would have to wait two hours. I became increasingly worried as a 66-year-old woman stranded in a freezing car.  I explained my situation and how I needed urgent assistance. After what felt like an eternity, roadside service finally arrived. Unfortunately, the gentleman who came to help had no experience with Subarus and didn't even know how to open the hood. To make matters worse, he wanted to charge me $95.00 to call a tow. I was furious and shivering with cold. My hands and feet became numb, and the temperature continued to drop.    

While waiting for a tow, I noticed a phone number inside the car. I called the number and was connected to the dealership, where I spoke to Amanda Sisk, the sales manager, and Cole Stone, a salesman. They were both genuinely concerned about my situation and how I was stranded in the cold for a long time with questionable roadside assistance and a $95 charge. After being placed on hold briefly, they came back with a plan to help me. 

I was informed that they had contacted the tow company to send a flatbed, but they couldn't provide a specific time frame. To ensure my safety and to keep me out of the lousy weather, Stone agreed to come and pick me up. Amanda gave me instructions on where to leave the keys, and Stone was on his way from Ourisman Subaru Waldorf, about an hour's ride, to pick me up in Prince Frederick. 

Stone, who was exceptionally polite and empathetic, arrived to assist me, and we headed back to the dealership. Surprisingly, I was given a loaner car until my vehicle could be repaired. I'm not sure if it was pure luck that I reached out to the right dealership for help, but I am immensely grateful for the assistance provided by Ourisman Subaru and its compassionate staff. Subaru is much more than just a dealership; they exceeded my expectations in helping me. Thank you to everyone for their kind and caring support."

It was truly a pleasure to work with you and Amanda (and Megan and Dave). I never enjoyed myself so much in any previous car buying endeavor.
